Magazine brand options

Cosmopolitan
Read by 1 in 4 millennials which is significant as there has been a dramatic decrease in the number of millennials reading magazines.
Aimed mainly at women.
The main character could be the feature of the front cover and it could be about her acting success or something she advocates.
Disadvantages of using this magazine brand:
-mainly focusses on fashion, beauty and body which isn't necessarily the focus I want to take.

ELLE
ELLE is the biggest fashion selling magazine in the world.
It often features inspirational models who women are able to relate to and I think that this is the stance that I will take on making my magazine cover.
It fits the main socio-economic target audience of my programme.
The main disadvantages to using this magazine brand are:
- it is mainly a womens' fashion magazine.

marie Claire
Targeted at women with a point of view, opinion and a sense of humour.
Targeted at women aged 20-40 which is a similar target audience of my programme.
65% working women read this magazine and my programme is aimed at working women as it enables a sense of escapism.
31% are ABC1 which is also the target audience I am appealing to.
Marie Claire would enable me to make a character based/focused magazine front cover.

Third Blog for Media NEA action plan

I found that some programmes were on at the same time every weekday on the ITV channel such as 'The Chase,' this suggests that there is a mid-evening demand for game shows. I didn't get onto researching the Channel 5 TV Guide so that will be my next step. Another issue that I encountered when initially doing this research was that I was unsure what ITV channel I was supposed to be creating a audio-visual for. What I did to try and create a resolution was to just look at the ITV TV Guide to start with. Week One: during this week I will continue on from my initial lesson/introduction to the Media NEA and will continue writing my blog and creating an action plan for the following weeks. I will also spend time completing the TV listing notes and writing up at lea...

Aims and Intentions

- H ow and why will you use media language in your media production? -How and why will you construct representations of individuals, groups, and issues/events? -How will you target your intended audience/users? -How will your production conform to its industry context? In this audio-visual, media language will be used to make it distinct to the genre it is conveying. Hand-held camera shots will be used to create a sense of realism, panning shots will be used to display the setting/surroundings, close ups will be used to direct audiences’ attention to certain aspects of the narrative. The mise-en-scene will increase the authenticity of the genre, by using natural lighting, modern clothing and props to create a sense of tension and realism. Re-occurring props will also be used to carry the narrative. Sound effects will be natural and will mimic the real life noises that would be heard, however tense music will be used. Representations will be constructed to fit the conventions ...
