conclusions:
lifestyle magazines are quite versatile due to its genre almost being a hybridity of genres. different aspects can fit into life style including; health, fashion, ways to better yourself.
the idea of lifestyle magazines is to aspirational to its audience which is why the content often includes way to better yourself.
ideas to fit the aspirational aspect;
how the actress got the role, what their education history is etc
magazines to fit young adults:
People
millennial magazine
allure- could be an option if I focussed on the representation in the programme.
ELLE- is a lifestyle magazine and the situation would be similar as listed before
Cosmopolitan- similar to ELLE
Elle is slightly more middle-class whereas cosmopolitan would cover topics about gossip and things like that.

Brand: ELLE
Main Image: the main character, focus on actor.
elle is very heavily focused on fashion which makes it less of an option for a lifestyle magazine.
cosmopolitan- read by 1 in 4 millennials. aimed mainly at women.

Action Plan Research: Research that I have already began collecting includes looking at the TV Times in magazines and looking at the TV Guide for what programmes are on each of the broadcasters; itv and Channel 5. I found that some programmes were on at the same time every weekday on the ITV channel such as 'The Chase,' this suggests that there is a mid-evening demand for game shows. I didn't get onto researching the Channel 5 TV Guide so that will be my next step. Another issue that I encountered when initially doing this research was that I was unsure what ITV channel I was supposed to be creating a audio-visual for. What I did to try and create a resolution was to just look at the ITV TV Guide to start with. Week One: during this week I will continue on from my initial lesson/introduction to the Media NEA and will continue writing my blog and creating an action plan for the following weeks.
