What I want for my audio visual:
challenge stereotypical representations of gender-
I want to not just have a stereotypical storyline where the female is the victim and the case is solved by the boyfriend or father.
genre hybridity; crime drama, romance, comedy.
for ITV. has a more appropriate target audience of millennials and brings in a larger viewing.
itv has lacked some crime dramas that appeal to younger target audiences however their crime dramas have always hindered on appealing to a younger audience and I want my audio visual piece to draw in that target audience (like Netflix does) by having a younger storyline eg about school and a crime in school. I would use the broadcaster 'Netflix' as an example of a broadcaster that appeals to the millennial target audience and itv offers a 'free' (excluding tv license)
political views
young aspiring criminologist student looking at old case and perhaps solving it/ working on it, discovers new info/evidence.
include
micro features: tracking shots- eg running
time lapse of her working throughout day.
graphic match.
2 locations: distinct eg one running.

narrative:
key turning point
point of significant conflict
resolution

Third Blog for Media NEA action plan

Action Plan Research: Research that I have already began collecting includes looking at the TV Times in magazines and looking at the TV Guide for what programmes are on each of the broadcasters; itv and Channel 5. I didn't get onto researching the Channel 5 TV Guide so that will be my next step. Another issue that I encountered when initially doing this research was that I was unsure what ITV channel I was supposed to be creating a audio-visual for. What I did to try and create a resolution was to just look at the ITV TV Guide to start with. Week One: during this week I will continue on from my initial lesson/introduction to the Media NEA and will continue writing my blog and creating an action plan for the following weeks. I will also spend time completing the TV listing notes and writing up at lea...

Aims and Intentions

- H ow and why will you use media language in your media production? -How and why will you construct representations of individuals, groups, and issues/events? -How will you target your intended audience/users? -How will your production conform to its industry context? In this audio-visual, media language will be used to make it distinct to the genre it is conveying. Hand-held camera shots will be used to create a sense of realism, panning shots will be used to display the setting/surroundings, close ups will be used to direct audiences’ attention to certain aspects of the narrative. The mise-en-scene will increase the authenticity of the genre, by using natural lighting, modern clothing and props to create a sense of tension and realism. Re-occurring props will also be used to carry the narrative. Sound effects will be natural and will mimic the real life noises that would be heard, however tense music will be used. Representations will be constructed to fit the conventions ...
